Teresa Talking

Teresa is a chatty girl...

Well, in the past week, Teresa has begun to do two things. She is 90% flipping over, she just needs to figure out how to handle her shoulders and then she'll be doing it no problem! Also, today Teresa was chatting CONSTANTLY while awake. As Cara said, she wonders what Teresa is trying to say. Anyhow it is super cute.

We also now have Teresa napping very well. She gets her 9 hours at night, without fussing, and then gets a few good naps in during the day!

Teresa has a doctor's appointment and more shots tomorrow...

In other news, half my exams are done, the Christmas & Baptism video is edited, and I won my first curling game. I have no new pictures, but I did get other people Christmas & Baptism pics so I will post a few of those.

The first set is of Christmas time, including a family picture from our visit to the Gannon's house. Sorry for the delay, but I had to learn how to add pictures again. These new fangled cameras take pictures with large files (mine can, it's just not set up to), and you can only upload 2 at a time due to that. We took some video this morning and want to get her giggling this afternoon and then we will post a little video. I will also put up more baptism pics post haste.

Some days I wonder why I teach...

Dear Lord. I wonder what his wife said to him on the way home? Oh and I might add, are the French really that dumb, because the audience choked too?

Baptism Picture

I packed our camera but it was so hectic that I only took one pic. I am hoping to get all the other pictures from others. Andrea did a great job videotaping the ceremony too.

A huge thank-you has to go out to Cara's Aunt Diane who lovingly made her wedding dress and then was willing to cut it up and sew us Teresa's (and future Little Yostie's) baptismal gown. It was gorgeous. Sadly for all of us she couldn't make it out due to snow. Notice that Teresa's hair is all greasy from the oil of choosing...

THANK YOU

Edit: Time / date change to move to top of blog b/c this is important!

Last Pictures & a Smile!

Well, today is Sunday and I figured I should post the last selection from Christmas and Cara recently took some very good pictures where we first documented Teresa smiling, which apparently took 30 minutes of coaxing. This is a limited selection from the 140+ that were imported when I got my computer back.

I am presently importing the 2nd tape of video to the computer as I have worked through the film of the 24th - 26th. There is only 54:03 of tedium so far!

I suppose I should tell everyone now that they shouldn't book tickets to the Brier this year nor next in expectation of seeing me. My growth as a curler has taken longer than I expected. I fell for the first time in a while today and I have pretty consistent guard weight, but my touch on anything beyond that (takeout, hack or even draw weight) is anywhere between terribly inconsistent and non-existent. It was -30 in Winnipeg this morning, and it was a nice day by recent standards :)

Hope everyone else is well.

Teresa fusses for EVERYONE!

Cara is quite concerned about her rummy hand apparently.

More pictures...

Not much else to report. I began to edit the video from Christmas on iMovie. I plan on having a limited theatrical release in May followed by a wide release in time for summer holidays when the real money is spent. For those wondering, I have already booked a flight to LA for the Oscars next year. If Teresa doesn't win the Cutest Baby in a Leading Role statuette it will prove once and for all that the awards are corrupt, no matter what the auditors of Deloitte & Touche say!

I do though need to tell one story from Christmas because there are pictures. The day of the big snowfall, as it began to lightly fall I figured that it was mild so I would take Teresa on a sled ride on the infant sled we were lent by a neighbour. Anyhow, I took her & Rowdy out together... She decided when I was on the river that she had enough and I tried to mollify her as best I could as I go home quickly. She was right pissed at the end of it, but oh so cute at the start...

Anyhow, here are the next 10 pictures that you get...

Got my computer back...

Now all that I have to do is post the last 3 weeks of my life! We have a ton of pics and over 1 1/2 hours of video to edit. I will post some pics but I figure I should give some background as to how things are going.

After everyone left, Cara & I decided to spend some quiet time together (we have two different nights out planned this month!) and enjoy the last few days of the break. We got to see Phil & Lindsay and Michelle & Stephane (along with Ben & Cam). It was tough to return to classes, but I survived. In the last few days Teresa's temperment has been changing a bit, and has been having some troubles feeding, but only sometimes.

Beyond that she now weighs 14 pounds (yes Lindsay, your scale was inaccurate).

Now for (SOME) of the Christmas time pics... I want to put some other pics but that may have to wit, as they were taken vertically & I don't want to screw that up.

Teresa + Rowdy = Cute to the power of infinity!

Someone had waited patiently for 3 months for this picture... OK let's be honest he's been waiting since his kids were no longer that size but only got hope 6 years ago when we got married :)

More pictures tomorrow... Don't want to flood the market and devalue the commodity

Long Time, No Post...

Well, I haven't posted in a while so I figure I may as well explain it to the clamouring masses.

My stinking MacBook's optical drive crapped out and won't recognize DVDs. As such, I brought it in just after Christmas and it still hasn't been returned. As such, I have been unable to post pictures & video. I guess I could have posted text about some of the events, but with my family in town life was pure mayhem! Cara & I are finally relaxing prior to my return to classes on the 8th.

I figure I should thank all those who came out / tried to come out to the baptism. For those unaware, Teresa was baptised in a ceremony on the 31st in a day marked by pure mayhem. For those outside of Manitoba, Winnipeg recieved a foot of snow on the 30th/31st so it made our plans change on the fly.

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!
