A few more pics...

Nothing too new to report. I have a nasty throat scratch, and Sarah is in in 4 hours.

Teresa tried & enjoyed her saucer today, while Cara has been busy cleaning and I installed a new kitchen faucet.

Now the pics. No comments, too busy :)

My First Video!

Ray & Myrna bought us a camcorder for a shower gift. I never really cared for one in the past, but they feel that really missed having video of the girls when they were young. Needless to say I enjoy plying with it now that I have it. Cara though has decided that it is just one more media for me to obsess over :)

The first night I took a few short clips of Teresa & Cara... Presented for you in widescreen. I am trying to embed it, we'll see how this goes. This was a couple of nights ago though because I learned a problem with Macs, they can only import by Firwire, and they give you a USB2 cable!

ps It appears to work for me. Let me know if it worked properly for you in the comments, or if you can't see it.

The Tree Is Up!

Well, we had the eventful day. Not only do we have to concern ourselves with cleaning the house for company (9 days & counting) but we have to do all the festive stuff & keep the two needy beings happy... NO! Not Cara, I meant Teresa & Rowdy.

Anyhow, today we went to mass, and Teresa caused us to be late enough that they found a replacement for Cara's scheduled reading. She was quite disappointed as the 2nd reading was one of Paul's more lucid and clearcut letters. We then went home and started cleaning. I was busy on the computer preparing some Christmas gifts & two tests I am giving tomorrow. I have to go into work for 7:30 so I can get them printed off on time. Before we knew it, 1:00 rolled on and I took Rowdy out to th dog park. The Assiniboine by the park is solid enough that after he played with dogs for ~30 minutes we walked across it to the monkey trails of Assiniboine Park on the other side. We crossed back over by Bruce Park and walked up the creek and returned to the dog park. Overall it was quite nice. The day was only about -5 with a cool breeze so it was much better than our previous week of the deep freeze where I would hunker down against the icy breeze. Thursday morning the wind chill was -39! FYI it doesn'y matter if I say it was Farenheight or Centrigrade. Either way, friggin cold! I got home and helped out cleaning a bit and then the good stuff! The house is now decorated. The tree is now decorated. I have taken family pictures, and the card is now at WalMart for printing! We have all the baptism invites & cards are addressed and ready to be mailed tomorrow. I never knew we could be so organized.

Of course the card made me curse a wee little bit... Stinking photoshop never does what you want it to.

Anyhow hope all is well for. Here are some of the pictures from the day.

The day had a beautiful frost on the trees, and it stuck as we had no sun all day.

I went into the park with Rowdy when there was an 11 year old Golden out there. I made Cara come out to take some pictures. The artistic looking shots are cool accidents as the autofocus engaged on the branch.

Getting the tree ready... Sorry for the sideways thing. If you have a laptop it is way easier to flip it than with a desktop :)

Cara is hanging stuff & hamming it up!

Topping the tree!

The tree is done!

Rowdy is getting festive with the hat he hates. Thankfully I tired him out so he wore it for almost 1 minute!

Christmas is Coming!

Yay!

Yesterday we went out and bought a Christmas tree from the Optimists. We splurged this year and bought a sheared tree, not semi-sheared! Anyhow the lights went on last night and the garland went on this morning. Later we will be putting the ornaments on! We were quite busy though, as we decided to move the TV into a Rec Room downstairs while making a living room without TV upstairs. Attached are a couple pics on the new upstairs (w / tree), and downstairs. As an added bonus, you will get a couple of pics from story time yesterday. Cara was reading Teresa a Curious George story. Oh yes, and I decided to share a family tradition, by uploading Merrill Womach's entire Christmas album using torrents, seeing as it is OOP I don't have any moral qualms about it. You can find it on isohunt.com. There are already 6 full copies that have been transferedd around the 'net!

Enjoy! Sarah is here in 10 days!! Break is 2 weeks away!!!

Sarah Demanded a New Post, so here She Be...

The spelling errors in this post are sponsered by Children, keeping moms on their toes for thousands of years...

Speaking of chidren keeping us on our toes, it appears as though Teresa may have begun a bit of teething... I am exhausted right now as Teresa has been crying and stressing us out. Apparently it can begin at 2 months and sometimes teeth break out then, other times it comes and goes for a few months. Besides that not much new to report. We were in Stonewall Sunday and took some family pics. Here they are. Find the one where Teresa isn't happy. Working with dogs & babies isn't easy...

PS: Sarah I emphasize the fact that the chaps are assless so all the chicks that think I am dreamy have something to fantasize about...

This was sent out to me...

When I accused a coworker of homoeroticism as a joke, I was told those in glass houses should not throw stones, with the attached picture. Focus on the facial hair. A stunning likeness, especially when I wear assless chaps. Cara & I found it quite hilarious.

Bath Time, Belly Time and Feeding Time w/ Rowdy

On this, the last day of November I almost lost a toe to the cold as it is -20 in 'Peg city and Rowdy needed a walking. Brrrr!!! I will be used to it soon enough. I don't have too much else to report though... Life continues unabated.

Cara wanted a picture of her crazy soaped up hair

Belly Time - She was getting up on her knees yesterday, and moved her self a little bit forward through her flailing... She doesn't like it after about 1 minute, and Rowdy came to check out the commotion.

Bath Time & Doctorb's

The 'B' stands for bargain!

Teresa got her first set of shots today (I know immunizations is a communist plot to bring down capitalism, but I figure the Liberals have been trying to do the same thing for 40 years and look how that's turned out...) It turns out she is now 11 lbs, 15 oz and 24 inches long! As for the metric equivalents, if you care: Figure them out on their own you granola munching pinko!!

As promised last night I have a bath time series of pictures. Here goes nothing:

Naked baby! All ready for bathtime...

& a well placed facecloth for Gramma Yost!

BTW dad, Cara had a certain fear about your visit after I went picture crazy. She figures she has seen her future!

Shoulder Ride!

On the way to bath time tonight, I decided to prop Teresa on my shoulders and, as always, cuteness ensued. Please note the hand full of hair.

Stay tuned for bathtime pictures tomorrow.

Computer's Back!

It has been a little bit quiet on the blog of late because I have had my MacBook in the shop to get an optical drive replaced (I got a dud - long story). I thought it was a great idea to do it last week, as I only missed a couple of classes. I forgot though about Thanksgiving in the US where I needed the parts shipped from. Nothing new to report on our end, save that we are less than a month from my family moving in and meeting Teresa for the first time

Here are the new pics:

Being silly with my puppy.. Rowdy lets me abuse him so much that I am not at all concerned about Teresa

Now some random cute pictures...

We left the cuteness generator on again!

Feeding Time!

Teresa is playing on her Baby Einstein mat. She is getting pretty good at swatting stuff hanging above her. During belly time she's getting good at holding her head really high up, and partially lifting her chest.

Rowdy helping out at feeding time.

Last cuteness dose for the time being!
