The Tree Is Up!

Well, we had the eventful day. Not only do we have to concern ourselves with cleaning the house for company (9 days & counting) but we have to do all the festive stuff & keep the two needy beings happy... NO! Not Cara, I meant Teresa & Rowdy.

Anyhow, today we went to mass, and Teresa caused us to be late enough that they found a replacement for Cara's scheduled reading. She was quite disappointed as the 2nd reading was one of Paul's more lucid and clearcut letters. We then went home and started cleaning. I was busy on the computer preparing some Christmas gifts & two tests I am giving tomorrow. I have to go into work for 7:30 so I can get them printed off on time. Before we knew it, 1:00 rolled on and I took Rowdy out to th dog park. The Assiniboine by the park is solid enough that after he played with dogs for ~30 minutes we walked across it to the monkey trails of Assiniboine Park on the other side. We crossed back over by Bruce Park and walked up the creek and returned to the dog park. Overall it was quite nice. The day was only about -5 with a cool breeze so it was much better than our previous week of the deep freeze where I would hunker down against the icy breeze. Thursday morning the wind chill was -39! FYI it doesn'y matter if I say it was Farenheight or Centrigrade. Either way, friggin cold! I got home and helped out cleaning a bit and then the good stuff! The house is now decorated. The tree is now decorated. I have taken family pictures, and the card is now at WalMart for printing! We have all the baptism invites & cards are addressed and ready to be mailed tomorrow. I never knew we could be so organized.

Of course the card made me curse a wee little bit... Stinking photoshop never does what you want it to.

Anyhow hope all is well for. Here are some of the pictures from the day.

The day had a beautiful frost on the trees, and it stuck as we had no sun all day.

I went into the park with Rowdy when there was an 11 year old Golden out there. I made Cara come out to take some pictures. The artistic looking shots are cool accidents as the autofocus engaged on the branch.

Getting the tree ready... Sorry for the sideways thing. If you have a laptop it is way easier to flip it than with a desktop :)

Cara is hanging stuff & hamming it up!

Topping the tree!

The tree is done!

Rowdy is getting festive with the hat he hates. Thankfully I tired him out so he wore it for almost 1 minute!
