Teresa's Hallowe'en

Cute as a button, we tried two different costumes on but we went with Jeff's costumes for a few reasons, including that Winnie the Pooh's head was HUGE... Here are the pictures.

Teresa loves playing with Rowdy's collar

Cara Made both things - the witch's name is Helga.

The pumpkins - Andrea made two of them, and Cara & I collaborated on the traditional one.

The pink cat outfit - notice the tail

Winnie The Pooh - the head is huge, and Teresa enjoyed playing on the ground in it for about 20 minutes.

Ready to go...

At a neighbor's house

Checking out the haul - she LOVED shaking the Smarties packs, and enjoyed a bit of the Aero...

We already took a couple of Halloween Pics. They are soon to come.

Teresa Splashing In Tub

Cute, fairly unedited, and comes in around 5:10. Tomorrow Cara & I get to go on a date and the maternal grandparents get to babysit. I have to say, the paternal grandparents just aren't as helpful when it comes to baby-sitting.

Teresa at Home

Well, it has been a long long week. I learned today that I can teach still without too much preparation, as I was out until 2:00 am having a few commiseratory hoppy beverages with the football staff as we were somewhat unexpectedly bounced from the playoffs in the first round. For those that care we went 5-2 in the regular season, but lost our last game and we lost this week. 6 points in 8 quarters (all safeties no less) wins very very few football games.

Ah well... I am now free to do some other stuff with my time. Teresa finds new ways to amaze us every day. She now says 'da' when she is done eating something and wants to move on. Speaking of eating, Teresa ate a lentil curry last week. I am glad my daughter is already eating all sorts of spicy food. That's right, she already has a tougher palate than her paternal grandfather! Also, she has been able to lift herself up directly from the ground by bridging up, and can sumo squat down and push back up. Other stuff that she's been up to includes being able to point at specific objects when asked, and she's down to two bottles a day... She has also stopped tormenting Rowdy as much after we read about ways to improve their relationship. There's a million other tidbits and I never think of relaying them, but I heard Cara talking on the phone so I thought those would be great on the blog! Hopefully I can get Cara in guest blogging soon because she has way more material than I do.

Cara here...I didn't want to take up room on a separate post. Teresa had a doctor's appointment today. She weighs 22 pounds and is 32 inches long. She got her shots, looked at the doctor like he was Satan, and we then made our way home.

Ken neglected to mention Teresa can also say the "Row" part of Rowdy and her new favourite game is picking up a soccer ball, throwing it, repeat as necessary. She is working on two more teeth, one on the bottom and one on the top. She now walks laps around the house and makes me dizzy and tired just watching her. She a total clown and will do anything for a laugh.

I took a bunch of pictures today and Ken took video of Teresa in the tub, spinning with we and on the motorbike so he will post the pics now and have to edit the video still...

Teresa is cute...

I guess everyone doesn't care though seeing as no one save Sarah comments...

Sigh. While taking care of Teresa Saturday she decided to show off her climbing prowess by getting on top of a cardboard box. She was in full crawling position but moved before I could get the picture so in stead she is relaxing & playing cool sitting on top of the box.

Teresa Greeted Me As I Came Home...

She walked to see me at the door, looking so happy! How cute!

She also has learned how to open cupboards and her first tooth appears to be cracked out of her gum (lower & her right)...

A 2:00 video of Teresa rumbling in the basement between Cara and I. She pretty much did an unaided lap of the couch and is now trying to figure out how to crawl over the phone table we have been using to block the back stairs. Beyond that we had a great come from behind victory. Down 15-0 at the half we came back to win 20-16, scoring the winning TD with 0:49 left in the 4th. If you want access to the video, email me kjyost@gmail.com.

Teresa's Walking!

She is now getting up and staggering about for a few steps at a time and sometimes more. She is now choosing whether she wants to walk or not. She has also made Rowdy's life even more terrifying, as she does like standing up and chasing him at eye level. Of course she does fall down and cry every now and again... < SENTIMENTAL >My little girl is all grown up! </SENTIMENTAL >

Teresa Helping, Eating & Riding Her Bike

Well, it has been a long week from my end, and I didn't get to see Teresa much on Thursday or Friday. On Thursday I had to get in early to do paper work & be ready for a sub for Friday as I sat on a bus to Dryden. At least we won 44-0, which makes us 4-1. We still have two tough games before the end of the season. Teresa is getting a tooth (I am 95% sure) in the middle on the bottom right as there is a solid lump there. We still haven't had the crying thorough the night so we'll see. She also is taking more risks, but not walking yet. Today she followed me up the stairs, but turned around on the first step up from the landing, looked back and took a little tumble.

Cara has been taking some pictures during the week, so here they are:

Teresa likes helping Cara unload the dishwasher...

Mmmm.... Cheerios....

Riding her gift... Note the shirt! I have to rock the bike for her.
