Trick or Treat!

Well, we had a disappointing turnout this year - maybe 30 kids in total likely due to the fact that we had a temperature of -3 and had 3-4 inches of snow yesterday. Of course this means no "gate night" activities to be noticed and not a single kid over 12 came to our door, especially no irritating teens late in the night...

I guess this means more candy for the rest of us!

BTW guess which Jack O Lantern was made by which person... I'll post the results later :)

Yup, She's Still Cute

Here are a few more cute pictures... After a hellish Friday night where Cara slept less than 3 hours, she slept through the night on Sunday. Cara woke up reailzing she hadn't fed at 5:00 and checked for vital signs... She didn't last night, so who knows if she will continue to do this or not.

The pictures are from today in her new vibrating chair, which soothes her and from Sunday morning when she was resting on my chest. It always feels like she is going to fall off. Rowdy's presence once again just adds to the cuteness factor...

Hope all is well with everyone else.

1 Month (+ 1 Day Now...)

Anyhow, the SPHS football machine continues to roll, defeating Kelvin 33-0 at home...

In more important info, Teresa has officially become a fussbot on her 1st month birthday! For the last couple of nights, we have been unable to get decent sleep as she has chosen to cry the night away. Cara ended up with less than 3 hours last night. They both had a 2 hour nap this afternoon though.

We took a few pics for her first month, and here they are:

Tuesday, October 24, 2006

Well it has been a week since I lasted posted and there isn't any big news to report. We've been quite busy of late. Last week the 2 football teams ended up 7-0 each for their season (1-0 in PreSeason too), and begin playoffs. The #2 team crossed over to the middle division and will play Kelvin and the #1 team has a bye and will play the winner of Churchill - River East...

Besides that, the Bombers won Saturday, we went to Phil & Lindsay's Sunday for dinner and I got my marking & marks in for Monday and went curling. Besides that Teresa keeps porking up, how much we will know tomorrow after a doctor's appointment and has developed a bit of baby acne but I airbrushed it out of this picture. Also, she decided to remind us that she's boss Saturday night and we were up LATE with her fussing badly, likely because she had 2 bottles that day because we went to Moxie's with Wally & his girlfriend (sign of the apocalypse #42). Cara let me catch up on sleep Sunday night and took care of Teresa as I went to bed early and I am trying to reciprocate tonight but Cara is having none of it, as she apparently wants to spend time with me.

I am watching Game 3 of the World Series as we speak. Good luck to Jeff tomorrow as he does his best GOTF/V campaign (F is for family...)

Rowdy & Teresa create a critical mass of cuteness

Family Picture

Mom took a few family pics before we left. This is by far the best, as Rowdy isn't in a headlock and Teresa isn't crying...

Without further ado, here it is:

Grandma's Gone :-(

Seeing as the news did not mention any plane crashes I must assume mom got home safely. We had a nice last day with the Gannons over and a nice dinner of leftover pasta. Thanks for the help mom. Although Cara attempted to be as independent as possible, not only did mom help with cleaning the disaster that was our storage room she was there for support. I hope that Cara won't feel too belabored without her initially adjusting to the new reality of our lives.

Here are the last pictures we took of them together, although they will be together again soon enough, 70 days to be precise (but who's counting) when she will also meet Grandpa and a few of the aunts.. BTW is in Grandma, or Gramma, or something else completely?

In other news, Teresa's diaper failed us last night, allowing urine to soak her blanket & snugglie (sp?) at 2:30 am. Needless to say, she was bitter and I somehow attempted to sleep through it... Also, did you know that curling isn't as easy as TSN/CBC/the pros make it look? I am a little sore, and my knee is all banged up. I need to get used to throwing a consistent weight, and then maybe I can claim that I am not horrible :)

Here are the last pics of mom & Teresa (for the time being).

My First Feeding.

I have been told that there are somethings that should not be posted on the blog and I don't really know how to deal with this unnamable topic because I have some cute pictures and a story. Anyhow, Cara and I finally purchased an item that will be crucial to allowing us to leave Teresa with other people. This item 'expresses' itself every morning now, and I 'milk' it for all it's worth in the afternoon / evening by getting to bottle feed Teresa. BTW why do we call it "express" and not "milk". Cara thinks it is so she feels less like a cow...

In other news, the Gannons came over today and we had a nice visit, mom will be leaving tonight, and my future as curling sensation begins now.

So, Cara used this item on Sunday and I got to give her an afetrnoon feeding. Here are some pictures of the big event. Also, a picture of Teresa in her cute jean dress (Thanks Wally!)

Cutest Yawn EVER!

Maybe I am a little biased but...

Also check out how she is true Yost already. Quite the double chin she's got there!

More Teresa Pics

In the past week, we have some pictured, and here they are. Teresa is feeding very well and sleeping longer and longer each night it seems. Last night she slept 5.5 - 6 hours straight, and has been doing 5 hours consistently each night. Add into that when she wakes at night she rarely fusses and allows me to sleep! She is continuing to gain weight and is now 8lb 8 oz.

Rowdy is starting to be a little more high strung but I am convinced that is because he hadn't been exercised much last week because of the weather it has been chilly, but worse is that the winds were crazy! I should also add that both of our football teams remain undefeated at 6-0, with the #2 team winning with a last second TD pass 16-13.

Nap Time & Story Time...

Teresa napped a little too much during the day and at Thanksgiving dinner last night so she kept us (& especially Cara) up at night. Here though is a picture of Teresa & Cara napping yesterday and then mom reading Teresa the Catholic Baby's First Bible (which we got from Lindsay & Phil). I especially think that Rowdy at her feet adds to the cuteness factor.

Teresa, Cara & Rowdy...

Yup, more pictures. This time they are of our daughter with her mom & first pet... I'll admit it, they are partially posed. We have to be careful when laying her on Rowdy as he tends to push off on us with his hind legs, which he can't do to Teresa as she doesn't weight 200 pounds. I should point out that Rowdy loves licking her feet & face and LOVES sniffing her butt.

We've had a good weekend thus far. I installed a gate into the park and done some work around the house to get ready for the cool weather. Yesterday was +23, and mom went to the beach with the Lemoines. The high on Wednesday is -1! Lows are -3 on Tuesday & Wednesday, good grief!

By the way, mom would be dangerous with a digital camera! She takes a ton of pictures, and since they are free (as opposed to slides), what's to stop her. It is nice though as I get some pictures from when I am away at work (yes, apparently in order to raise a child you need to make money).

Bath Time!

Now that Teresa's umbilical cord has fallen off, we can submerge her in the sink to wash her up! Her are the (as always) super cute pictures.

Kustra & Marcie Visited

Ken & Marcie came by with some cute gifts (a Winnie the Pooh muscial picture frame) and hung out for an hour! This is of course the Ken Kustra we all know and love as featured in the latest edition of From the Belltower!

Friesen Grandparents

Teresa is so tired she's SUPER fussy now. I guess that's what we get for having almost a perfect night sleep gets me, as she only got up to feed for 45 minutes quietly and I woke up for maybe 2 minutes!

I realized that I forgot to post pictures of Ray & Myrna so here goes nothing, they are from her first day at the hospital they stopped in.

More cute pics of Teresa. Mom has been taking a lot of them too, as she doesn't have a camera this time around!

Oh yes, and her umblical cord has finally fallen off!
