Bath Time, Belly Time and Feeding Time w/ Rowdy

On this, the last day of November I almost lost a toe to the cold as it is -20 in 'Peg city and Rowdy needed a walking. Brrrr!!! I will be used to it soon enough. I don't have too much else to report though... Life continues unabated.

Cara wanted a picture of her crazy soaped up hair

Belly Time - She was getting up on her knees yesterday, and moved her self a little bit forward through her flailing... She doesn't like it after about 1 minute, and Rowdy came to check out the commotion.

Bath Time & Doctorb's

The 'B' stands for bargain!

Teresa got her first set of shots today (I know immunizations is a communist plot to bring down capitalism, but I figure the Liberals have been trying to do the same thing for 40 years and look how that's turned out...) It turns out she is now 11 lbs, 15 oz and 24 inches long! As for the metric equivalents, if you care: Figure them out on their own you granola munching pinko!!

As promised last night I have a bath time series of pictures. Here goes nothing:

Naked baby! All ready for bathtime...

BTW dad, Cara had a certain fear about your visit after I went picture crazy. She figures she has seen her future!

Shoulder Ride!

On the way to bath time tonight, I decided to prop Teresa on my shoulders and, as always, cuteness ensued. Please note the hand full of hair.

Stay tuned for bathtime pictures tomorrow.

Computer's Back!

It has been a little bit quiet on the blog of late because I have had my MacBook in the shop to get an optical drive replaced (I got a dud - long story). I thought it was a great idea to do it last week, as I only missed a couple of classes. I forgot though about Thanksgiving in the US where I needed the parts shipped from. Nothing new to report on our end, save that we are less than a month from my family moving in and meeting Teresa for the first time

Here are the new pics:

Being silly with my puppy.. Rowdy lets me abuse him so much that I am not at all concerned about Teresa

Now some random cute pictures...

We left the cuteness generator on again!

Feeding Time!

Teresa is playing on her Baby Einstein mat. She is getting pretty good at swatting stuff hanging above her. During belly time she's getting good at holding her head really high up, and partially lifting her chest.

Rowdy helping out at feeding time.

Last cuteness dose for the time being!

Grey Cup Weekend

Well, Paul was in and we had a blast! We took him out around town Friday & Saturday including a "Dark Side" tour of Winipeg that brought him through the roughest parts of town. My MacBook is in the shop though for a new optical drive, so my postings are infrquent and I have no access to new pictures. Lastly a quick shout out to Sarah - have a great Turkey Day & I hope your birthday was fun!

Paul was great because he clearly loved Teresa & Rowdy. As such he took a bunch of pics with his phone so here some of them are:

Teresa is so cute!

Things are Improving...

We (Cara) have decided that Teresa will take the breast which is the sensible choice and as such she will not get the bottle unless it is necessary (public / she's away). This of course meant a very stressful day for her yesterday. Teresa went 6 hours between feedings (Cara said that she would snack to 'keep her strength up'), and 4 hours while fussing quite loudly. She began feeding fairly well last night and at 4 am this morning didn't fuss. I just got home and Cara said Teresa had been wonderful during the morning, but this was her last stand and she is being a fuss machine...

I am keeping my fingers crossed.

In other news my glasses broke yesterday morning.

Sorry. No new pictures.

Stress, Jeff & Other Such Things

We learned something important recently. Apparently travelling with infants is not a good idea. The trip to Grand Forks seems to have thrown everything into cuckooville. Teresa is now eating ravenoursly every about 2 hours, but is doing her damndest to quit breastfeeding and only take a bottle. There have been times when she has cried for over an hour instead of eating... Needless to say this translates into stressful times for Cara. Besides that her sleep patterns are a little off, but not too bad. Rowdy seemed to have a had a good 'guys weekend' with Warren (sans Lindsay) and is happy that I can take him out to the dog park now.

I am quite tired today as Teresa decided to eat (but not take the breast and rather cry for a while) at 4:00 am. Ahhhh.... They joys of parenthood.

Grey Cup week is here, and Paul Barnes is flying in from Torontoto check it out so I will be having some fun. It should be a good game. Jeff came over last night and was looking exceptionally cute with Teresa. Here are the pictures:

We Threw a Bagel!

20 - 0 Crusaders last night.

I made it safely to Grand Forks last around 2:30 am. The border wasn't too bad for me. Cara had a pretty stressful expereience after calling ahead to see if a particular document was valid in place of a birth certificate and was told yes, but at the border was harassed about her ability to read... I blame it on the Demoncrap congress.

Been A While

Haven't posted for a week due to busyness... Parent Teachers are tomorrow & Friday. On Friday the family is going down to Grand Forks to celebrate Ray & Myrna's anniversary but I have to stick around in the city for a while longer as the football team (#1) plays Sisler in the Championship game. For the record I have been managing for 3 years now and each year... (cross fingers & knock on wood!)

Cara had her baby shower at her mom's on Sunday. I guess it was a fun time, but I wasn't there. Thanks to all those who bought us stuff, helped out or just came and had fun. Cara figures everyone bought pink clothes because it was their chance to see Cara excited about pink :) We also got a number of things we needed and clothes for months & months...

Rowdy will be staying with Warren & Lindsay this weekend who sound excited to have him (YAY!) Thanks guys...

And finally a note I forgot. Teresa (or Hungry, Hungry Hippo as I like to call her) had another doctor's appointment today. Our little porker gained over a pound in 2 weeks and is 10 lb, 6 oz (from 9 lbs 3oz) and grew a half inch to 23". She is beginning to get some chub on her arms and around her wrists

We have a pile of new pics, so I will only choose the best.

Ken

Cara & Teresa fell asleep together. Sometimes Teresa sleeps between us at nights. She has for two nights in a row now slept for 6.5 hours through the night. This does not mean anything yet... I am knocking on wood as I type this :)

Some of Cara's cousins holding T-Rizzle (her gansta' name). Its Leah, Stas & Ilsa!

Here I am holding Teresa. I can't recall what prompted Cara to take these pics. Cara just reminded me that I put 'faux-hawk' on her... Can't tell if it turned out. And yes that is a quasi-beard. I went with it because it is easier to explain away my unshaveness at work if it is only a mild amount of trimming missing, not the whole stubbly face. It is a playoff / new dad beard.

Caa & Teresa are watching the TV intently together.

Teresa looking cute (& fatter!)

Some exceptionally cute Rowdy & Teresa pics... Cara was holding Teresa and Rowdy came up and nuzzled into her and then Teresa put her tiny hand which barely covered her nose. I wasn't there but Cara said it was the cutest thing!
