Teresa's Party

Well, it was a success I guess. Teresa ripped at a few gifts and ate some cake even while being cranky. I am now pretty sure she's teething, as she has gobs of drool coming out and is on edge and I think I see a tooth mark on the top gum. All in all, pretty awesome. It was tough for me to try to do video & pictures at the same time. The video gets a little bouncy at times but I have to edit it (and the summer video too) first.

1 Year Old...

Well, I have made some people in life a lot of money, and made others lose money. I got married, so some people had to pay up. I had a kid, so some one had to pay up. Now that kid has lived under my care and guidance for a year, someone owes some serious coin...

Anyhow, we went to BP's today and Teresa got to enjoy some pizza for the first time and a brownie sundae. We then went home and Teresa tore into a gift (well removed the tissue from a bag, we wanted to make it easy) and then finished up being read Birthday Monsters and one of the books Ed & Tarra sent. Here are a few of the highlight pics, along with her official 1 year shoot by Cara.

Raking...

Well, at this time last year Cara had her water broken but her stupid body wouldn't start pushing without drugs... Today I brought Teresa outside to play as I raked. She wasn't exceptionally happy at times, just fussing, but she did eventually chill and all was well.

You will also all be happy to hear that the Winnipeg School Division taught me all about the horrors of homophobia today.

Anyhow, I've got some pictures that are cute but I guess I should mention the big news. Teresa is now staggering a good 10 feet around the house and can climb the entire basement staircase... We nee dto pay 100% attention to her now at all times.

362 Days Old...

It seems like eons ago that it happened but it will be a week Thursday that Teresa was born. So many other things in life have seemed to have changed since then too. My job is obviously the big one, but I can't believe the little changes Teresa has almost daily now. Every night when I get home I always ask if there is anything new, and I hadn't been told anything. On Friday night Teresa let go of my leg and stood there looking around for at least 20 seconds, if not 30. Apparently she had been doing this for a few days, yet hadn't told me. Teresa is now fully able to walk, but doesn't often. She can stand in place for a good while, and keep her balance by adjusting her back and forth pitch. She has chosen to take a few steps from one person to another and yesterday walked a good 5 - 10 feet down Ray & Myrna's hallway.

Sigh. Why must she keep getting bigger?

Haircut

I finally imported the pictures Sarah sent up, and included on it was pictures from the butcher's shop with Teresa getting her hair cut.
